ABOUT:
Alyssa Foulkes is Guelph’s in-home dog training specialist who is recommended by veterinarians. She holds an MSc from the University of Guelph where she studied animal behaviour and nutrition.
While working at the University of Guelph as an animal health technician for a decade, she cared for thousands of puppies and dogs ensuring their behavioural and psychological needs were met. She also helped Veterinary students, Masters students, and PhD candidates understand canine behaviour and body language and improve their handling skills.
After helping friends and family who were struggling with behavioural issues with their personal dogs, Alyssa decided to open her own business so she could help more dog owners live harmoniously alongside their canine companions.
Her mentorship with world renowned dog behaviour specialist Cheri Wulff Lucas helped her grow into the professional in-home dog behaviour specialist she is today.
Alyssa helps families get to the root cause of their dog’s behavioural issues and provides easy-to-follow instructions to help resolve them. She looks forward to helping you and your family feel confident with everything from crate training to leash walking.
